About the festival

EnQueer is Sydney's only writers' festival dedicated to queer voices — established and emerging.

After a highly successful virtual debut in 2021, EnQueer | Sydney Queer Writers' Festival continues to bring together queer voices at
in-person festivals and events in 2022 and in 2023 with Sydney WorldPride.

EnQueer has showcased over 120 queer writers in a short span of time and dives deep into and celebrates the queer experience, intersectionality and the importance of representation.

Our history was built on the intellect of queer thinkers, philosophers and writers. Literature has always been queer and there is no better time to bring it to the fore.
